Serene Mind & Mood Restoration
You need to chill! No, trust me, you really do.
Whether you realize it or not, the pressures of modern living – your alarm clock, your daily commute, your boss, your PC screen, your convenience food – are constantly draining your central nervous system, downgrading your capacity for ‘life tolerance’ and reducing your performance, both mentally and physically.
Think back to the last time you felt truly refreshed… I bet it was when you took a nice long break and went away on holiday. No stress…
Everyone has dealt with some form of anxiety, stress or insomnia at one point in their lives.
You probably already know that stress results in a rise in the hormone cortisol. You can (if you look, and I suggest you do) find endless studies showing how even a mild elevation in cortisol, can negatively alter many body systems, leading eventually to clinical damage, such as metabolic syndrome, central obesity, impotence, heart disease, memory loss and other undesirable effects.
Neurochill has been specially formulated with top quality ingredients that have been chosen as a result of their proven track record in cortisol modulation. These herbs and supplements are included at levels proven to lower cortisol and/or counter its’ effects both in the mind and in the body.
We ‘only’ put 3 ingredients in, because they are the only 3 that we consider necessary to do the job right. That job being to provide maximum relaxation and stress management, without compromising your ability to drive or perform complex tasks.
In short, you are fantastically relaxed, but not ‘drowsy’ in any way.
After many months of testing and tweaking the right dose, we’re finally happy with the results of our compound combinations. And, we’ve combined them into a single formula aimed at reducing anxiety, improving mood and supporting natural sleep patterns.
You’ll recognise the ingredients if you’re already familiar with our products, however you may not have used all of them – individually or in combination – although we have alluded to stacking some of them in the past.
PS is a natural phospholipid derived from soybeans. Phospholipids are essential components of all cell membranes and are vital for normally cellular function. That means all the cells in your body rely on adequate phospholipid levels.
The first benefit of PS is cortisol modulation. For those of you who don’t know, cortisol is the hormone responsible for primarily suppressing the immune system and aiding in fat storage. This is why when people get stressed, they eat. With the increased food intake, anxiety and elevated cortisol levels, we gain weight – and not the good kind.
So, as you get stressed, your cortisol rises, you reduce your ability to concentrate and you end up in a bad mood. This has a knock-on effect on mental performance and often leads to insomnia. Yikes.
There is evidence from studies that show PS is effective in positively affecting (blunting) the effects of cortisol on the body, thereby improving mood and well-being.1 Furthermore, PS has shown to improve recovery and reduce muscle soreness after physical activity.
Each full dose of Neurochill has sufficient PS content to help manage your cortisol.
Bacopa Monnieri – 51% Bacosides
Bacopa is an extract which is native to plants in India. This is where our extract is standardized and tests show it contains over 51% active bacosides. Trust us, that’s a lot. Most products only include a 20% extract.
Bacopa is a nootropic and a mild adaptogen. Although the plant seems to have a number of uses, we want to focus on the ones we deem most important. Bacopa is widely known for its anxiolytic properties. But it has also recently shown to have strong positive cognitive benefits, too.
A study done on healthy human test subjects demonstrated that Bacopa “significantly improved speed of visual information processing measured by the IT task, learning rate and memory consolidation…” at doses of 300mg per day.2 The study concluded that Bacopa may improve cognitive processes such as learning and memory.
Furthermore, another study performed on 107 healthy participants showed us how Bacopa can significantly improve spatial working memory accuracy.3 Bacopa also possesses neuroprotective properties. 4
The effects, as with many nootropic compounds, are cumulative and get better the longer you use the specific compounds. Of course, everything has its limits, but one will notice improvements over months of continued use.
The anxiolytic properties, however, can be felt within the first dose and, to us, have shown no signs of diminishing with continued use. This makes for a fantastic compound to include in Neurochill.
Inositol is a carbohydrate, naturally synthesized in the liver from glucose.
It aids in modulation of serotonin, a neurotransmitter in the brain which is responsible for feelings of well-being and happiness. It forms part of the B-vitamin family, and has an important role in maintaining healthy cell membranes. Inositol has been used to help with anxiety and insomnia.
Furthermore, inositol also aids in lowering blood cholesterol and promoting fat breakdown.
